As a student-run organization, SAC encourages the free inquiry into topics of student-centered interest. We hope to offer the space for students to have an unfettered voice and the academic freedom to study, research, and share their scholarly expertise in a supportive learning community.

We anticipate that this theme encompasses a wide range of potential topics including but not limited to:

  • Student-Centric Pedagogies
  • Educational Technology for Empowerment
  • Cultivating Inclusive Learning Spaces
  • Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) for Student Well-Being
  • Assessment for Learning, Not Just Evaluation
  • Student Advocacy and Leadership in Education
  • Community Engagement and Education
  • Teacher Professional Development for Student-Centered Approaches
  • Empowering Critical Thinking & Agency in Learning
  • Learning Across Cultural Divides
  • Expanding Spaces: Diverse Opportunities for Learning
  • Listening and Advocacy

Proposals may include completed research studies, ongoing studies with preliminary findings, literature reviews, conceptual or theoretical pieces, thesis or dissertation research, action learning or capstone project papers, and any other original scholarly work.

All presentations and posters must conform to the APA Style Manual, 7th Edition and must include references. Consultation with faculty is highly recommended. Group or individual submissions are welcome.
