Florida Atlantic University’s Educational Talent Search program identifies and assists individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds who have the potential to succeed in higher education. The program provides academic, career, and financial counseling to its participants and encourages them to graduate from high school and continue to complete their postsecondary education.

Upward Bound Programs

Upward Bound and Upward Bound Math and Science are a part of the federally funded TRIO program that provides academic support to low-income and first-generation college bound students. To qualify students, need to either meet TRIO income-eligible guidelines or be first-generation college, meaning neither parent has obtained a bachelor’s degree. Additionally, to qualify, students must have at least started the ninth grade and will attend one of the program’s target schools that include:
